Spending time in the Amazon Rainforest at Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve in Manaus I was doing research with scientist and artists about the impact of men on the Amazon Rainforest, I got to learn first-hand about the alarming situations that are happening in the Amazon Rainforest right now. My plan is to create a new angle of impact by visualising the data of our projected future.
When the days passed in Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve I started to feel more and more restless and got the strong feeling that everything around me in the Amazon Rainforest was temporary. I noticed that everything is slowly disappearing around us without really noticing a “big” difference in our, direct and indirect, surroundings. Especially when you’re standing in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest.
At the moment, the rainforests are disappearing because of actions that happen relatively “unnoticed” on a large scale at various locations in the world.
Be aware of the invisible!
