IN SEARCH OF SHADOWS

This series was born from the comments of a British friend of mine who was surprised that the French language, albeit so rich, only had one word ‘ombre’ to refer to the multiple aspects of shades and shadows. The project of creating a series of images in which shadows would give a dreamlike, chimerical, mysterious or even surrealistic dimension came to my mind. Situations where shadows disrupt the perception of images, pictures where the photographer’s silhouette appears, or that of ghost characters, started to haunt my images. Strange shadows that creep on floors and walls, endowed with a life of their own, born from my imagination.
