I have tried to depict kids perspective of the Durga Puja , biggest festival of West Bangal , India and one of the biggest in the world. In whatever circumstances they are in children enjoy the festival in their own way whether they are rich , poor or middle class. The series of 10 photos captures the essence of the festival from the child's perspective. There are children who enjoy being middle class . They have fun around the pandals playing with other children . Then there are child labours for whom Durga Puja is a fest where they get some extra work hence some extra pay. Some assist in activities others collect the washed out structures after immersions and sell them. I have tried to see their perspective and hence this series.
