Simple, colourful and graphic. This is an on-going collection of African architectural frames, photographed on travels through small villages, towns and cities in Gabon, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Tchad, São Tomé and Principe. These images constitute an assemblage that by their very nature, make comment on the visual sensibilities of their creators. Whatever materials have been at their disposal, exterior and interior walls have served as canvas. In some instances, what's been captured is a simple by-product of what was the purely functional process of finishing a building, whilst in others, there is a keenly executed aesthetic.
