goddesses and gods within us

These photos are part of a series I made between 2018 and 2019. A reinterpretation of the semantic interlacement between divinity and nature, from antiquity to the present. All the goddesses emerge from the primordial female divinity 'the great mother'. In the passing of time, of civilizations, of religions and with the affirmation of patriarchy, she that was everything, it took on different faces, but remained always connected to cults bound to the cycles of birth-development-maturity-decline-death-regeneration that characterize both human lives and natural and cosmic cycles. The memory of the divinity has been maintained and transmitted throughout the generations, and still today they are mirrors where we can recognize ourselves. Queste foto fanno parte di una serie che ho realizzato tra il 2018 e 2019. Una reinterpretazione dell'intreccio semantico tra divinità e natura, dall'antichità ad oggi. Tutte le dee emergono dalla divinità femminile primordiale 'la grande madre'. Nel trascorrere dei tempi, delle civiltà, delle religioni e con l'affermarsi del patriarcato, essa che era tutto, ha assunto volti differenti, rimanendo però sempre connessa a culti legati ai cicli di nascita-sviluppo-maturità-declino-morte-rigenerazione che caratterizzano sia le vite umane sia i cicli naturali e cosmici. La memoria delle divinità si è mantenuta e trasmessa lungo le generazioni, ed ancora oggi sono degli specchi dove possiamo riconoscerci.
