I am a photographer from the Dominican Republic currently based in Europe. Although my body of work spans various decades and styles, presently my main focus is the exploration of the relationship between light and shadow, mostly at urban and rural settings. It revolves around two main questions: How to allow the black and white composition unravel the patterns and the textures found in reality?; and How to challenge the creative process by exploring and discovering the shapes created by the light or its absence? In general, my style aims at evoking the natural wandering around of the eyes when you encounter a new space. My work is an invitation to once again delve into the wondrous quality “du regard d’un enfant”.
