Submission Hélène McGuire

Much like Dorothea Lange approach to photography, I find myself seeking an out-of-body experience when I settle behind my camera. To be able to absorb and observe a scene to its fullest, I forget that I am actually there. Much like an audience in a theater, but in my case the world is the stage. There are so many special moments happening at all times, it's a passion. You want to hunt down a rare piece. I go around hoping to add to my collection. Some like to collect coins or beer mugs, I collect moments and people's stories.
