Simon and the Skateboard

I was a bit hesitant to document my friend's son playing with a skateboard in the front of my house in Portland, Oregon. The sun was very bright and direct. The shadows were harsh. In fact, I didn't really do much with the photos I took, because I immediately kind of wrote them off as "overexposed." However, with the right contrast, exposure, and photo adjustments, Simon's platinum curls look incredible. The shadows on his skin were amazing. Mostly, what I like about this series of photos, is how I caught glimpses into the imagination of this three year old boy.
