Haunted - 12 Image Series

The series simply referred to as "Haunted" includes black and white images taken with 35mm film shot in various superstitious places around Ohio. Remarkably, the final results from multiple film rolls were 100 percent unintentional and only added to the purpose of the project: that other things are among us and interacting with us. I had originally came up with the idea for this series because I have a great fear for horror movies and any other "scary" content. Although I had this fear, I counterproductively have a magnificent fascination for it all. I then took this dilemma and decided to tackle this fear I had by turning it into a project. This became one of my utmost favorite projects. The experience of going to these destinations with the stories was completely terrifying. Odd things happened at the destinations while on properties such as noises and sudden chills. After leaving the sights with footage, I go to develop like I normally do but every roll of film I had for the project got "damaged" in one way or another. It was truly the oddest thing that I was upset about at first, but then realized this only supported my fears even greater! In addition, I would like to dedicate this submission to my Pap, James Chevette, who appears in a couple shots in this series and passed away back in March 2019.
