In this photographic reportage I show a bit the world of the hare krishna of Villa Vrindavana a Villa situated on the Chianti hills acquired in 1979 by the ISKON community (International Association for Krishna Consciousness). The alarm clock is at 4 o'clock and the day starts from the early hours of the morning to pray repeating mantras and dancing until 9. There is an intense search for consciousness and realization of krishna according to the principles of bhakti yoga (devotion and love for Krishna).
Devotees appear disconnected from the rest of the world and live a dimension of renunciation and observance of monastic rules. More and more girls and boys join the movement trusting to have felt a strong attraction for the figure of Krishna, the God of the blue complexion, and following the principles dictated by the scriptures they observe a strictly vegan diet, they look after the cows considered sacred and carry out both manual and spiritual, all far from the distractions of the modern world
