Hong Kong in Transition

These photographs were taken in the 70's, 80's and 90's, before the Hong Kong Handover, the return to mainland China in 1997. Hong Kong was densely populated, most people lived in high-rises and home lives often spilled onto the streets. It was a magical place, where people maintained their own Chinese traditions and at the same time flourished under British governance.
