Nourishing Body and Spirit in the Face of Climate Change

Against the Grain Farm is a certified Biodynamic and USDA Certified Organic small family farm in northwestern North Carolina. Anyone that is in the farming business is subject to the current wild swings in weather patterns and to the uncertainty of what the future may bring. This farm, which is almost four seasons, also has the added stress of a young family which competes for time and financial resources. Holly and Andy, the farmer/owner parents have implemented strategies that are allowing them to cope with these uncertainties. They treat The Soil as if it were another family member. They pay daily attention to the big picture of farm health, their relationships with the community, and their personal finances. This is a story about what is right with the world.
