I, monument

"Monument – a free standing structure installed outside, desined to remind and commemorate" . "I wanted the monument to be part of the landscape, and the persom a part of it when inside it." My photos series looked at the fundamental question that looks at the relationship between the body and the memorial site. To achieve this, I took self-portraits with monuments. In the self-portraits I examined the question of my body in relation to how the State of Israel preserve the memory of its wars for survival, and the memory of those who fell in them. My aging body contrasts with a monument that is supposed to be eternal.
