The Omo Valley, in South Western Ethiopia, is home to eight different tribes. Until relatively recently, there were no tarmac roads going into this area and for me to reach the Hamer Tribe's village it was necessary to travel over rocks and sand for a considerable distance. It is clear that outside influences are encroaching upon the traditional life-style of the Hamer people, leaving me with a discomfort regarding the voyeuristic nature of the consumption of travel.
