I live in Chile since 2014. I arrived here looking for my freedom, but I grew up in the countryside in a suburb of Rome, within a tribe of immigrants of Calabria, southern Italy, and of Albanian origins. The Arbresh language is still spoken in my family.
When I was a child, I studied under the trees and imagined being a green giant that was confused with the meadow of the fields in front of my house.
Nature always seems perfect, not like people, so I took refuge in it every time things went wrong. It was becoming common liviniggin my
family with economic problems and my brother's health problems and conflicts with my father caused by a very strict patriarchal system.
I return home at least once a year . My family represents my story made of blood, affections and needs, and in each trip I look for what is still alive from my childhood.
When I come back, time seems to be stopped the day I left my home, and I look for a tree to rest under, without wondering if one day I will find perfection.
