The Arrestables - portraits of Extinction Rebellion rebels

I have covered direct peaceful actions and civil disobedience in relation to climate change for many years. I have previously always covered the actions in the streets reportage style, close up to the action. This project is an attempt to go closer to the people who put their lives and liberty at risk for the sake of the climate, to hear their story and to slow down the photographic process. I do this from a personal need to get to know the people behind the action better in a more intimate way than which is possible with police and other media breathing down my neck.
