'Tell a story, one picture at a time'. I love a good story because a good story
evokes emotions. It can be happy, it can be sad, sometimes melancholy and
sometimes there are no words for it. I love telling them through my camera lens.
A recent trip to galleries in Italy a few years ago has sparked an interest in art; especially Impressionism. I am currently experimenting with a style of
photography that gives the photo an impression that it is a painting. My last visit to Melaka, Malaysia has inspired me to take pictures reflected on the surface of the river.
Sometimes, we interpret episodes of our lives as we were looking at the
distorted images reflected on the surface of the river, which may not be the
actual story as these images are changed by the surrounding environments. These surrounding factors can be a passing boat that greatly disturbed the water, or it can be just subtle ripples by a gentle breeze. If only we can see past the distractions where we can find true peace.
