The Heart of Patagonia

On March 26, 2019, I visited El Chaltén, the heart of Argentinean Patagonia. While I waited for the sun to start going down I noticed some lenticular clouds starting to form above Mount Fitz Roy. I had the feeling it was going to be a nice sunset, but I never imagined what I was about to experience. This was the most spectacular sunset I've had the luck to witness. Stratocumulus Lenticular Clouds are common in this part of the world, but the shapes on these were unbelievable and it just got better and better with the light from the sun going down. I wanted to show the evolution of this astonishing sunset so all the photos were posted in chronological order in spite of the different exposures used.
