Beauty in the Broken American Moment looks at towns and places that were once bustling, vibrant communities of permanent residents or hopeful travelers on their way to the fulfillment of the American Dream. The places depicted in this series are largely along Route 66 and the surrounding area. The moments captured signify what once was, when Route 66 was the Main Street of America or America's Mother Road and communities, whether permanent or transient, along it thrived. When American factory and mining workers also thrived before the advent of automation and the outsourcing of jobs. Beauty in the Broken American Moment aims to show viewers the ghosts of America past in these places which are at once hauntingly beautiful and nostalgic in a lot of ways and hopeless in many other ways.
