Does love liberate us or strangle us?
A month before celebrating our ninth anniversary, my wife and I were living in different houses; giving us time to be apart. I wanted to understand what was destroying my life, and I began to photograph my day to day as I was living it. I needed to feel, touch, and visualize what those years had left me. I felt that every time I shot, the pain froze for a moment. I could do nothing but go out and lose myself. The series started as a letter to my wife. What hose years we have been together meant to her and me. I wanted to see if one’s sadness, sorrow, despair can also be captured in beautiful way. I guess the camera and the road eventually became a mirror of myself. In them, I could see a reflection of my twenties. the good and the bad, the sweet and the bitter ... everything that these 8 years had taught me.
