BALLET

One of the first Organizations to give me work was Edward Villella's Miami City Ballet. It was the best gig imaginable for me because I had spent years assisting in fashion where ballet is considered royalty. I showed up completely moved by their grace and hard work. Apart from growing up with a ballet dancing cousin and her friends, I really did not know all the nuance of ballet, let alone, George Balanchine ballet. But, this company liked my simple fashion light, a gift from years in the studio. Mixing my inexperience with the generous spirits of the dancers and staff, we formed a lovely body of work. This is just a small collection. The work we generated was published all over the world by the most prestigious press. All work ©Joe Gato
