Child of India

Visiting India with a camera in hand, seemed to be a magnet for parents wanting me to photograph their children. I asked if they would like a copy of the shot, but in all cases I was told, no. I found it rather curious. Again as I walk around towns and cities, I would be approached by both youths and older men and women asking they can take a selfie with me... I agreed, on condition I could take a portrait of them. This series of child portraits, were either requested or in a couple of cases I asked if I may take a portrait.
