Sigrun - Against all odds ...

Sigrun habe ich über ihren Social Media Kanal kennengelernt. Als sie mir erklärt, dass sie ein halbes Jahr nach ihrer letzten Beinamputation beim Wuppertaler Schwebebahnlauf über die 5 km Distanz an den Start gehen wird, bin ich elektrisiert und verspreche ihr, sie bei diesem Vorhaben mit der Kamera zu begleiten. Es wird eine meiner emotionalsten Arbeiten. Auf Grund ihrer Amputation und ihrer erst kurz zuvor erfolgten Prothesenversorgung muss Sigrun auf der Strecke immer wieder ihre Prothese ausziehen, ihren Stumpf trocknen und die Prothese neu anziehen. Sie kämpft mit ihrer Prothese, ihren schmerzenden Händen, ihrem Körper, ihren Emotionen. Auf der einen Schulter ein Teufelchen, das sie zum Aufgeben überreden will, auf der anderen Schulter ein Engelchen, das ihr Mut zum Durchhalten zuspricht. Der Rettungswagen ist auf den letzten zwei Kilometern ihr ständiger Begleiter. On one shoulder there is a little devil sitting who wants to persuade her to give up, on the other shoulder an angel is sitting encouraging her to move on. On the last two kilometer the ambulance behind her is been a constant companion to her.
