"195 GLACIERS" INSTALLATION

"195 glaciers" Wall Installation, 585 x 75 cm, 2019 The work consist of 195 framed 15x15cm original Cyanotypes (14x14cm) My work "195 glaciers" deals with the state of the approximately 200,000 glaciers of this planet and the resulting responsibility for the 195 parties that signed the Paris Agreement. The sea level would rise between 35 and 47 cm if all the glaciers melted completely. The glaciers currently contribute about a third of the observed sea-level rise. The 195 original Cyanotypes were created with 195 melting ice cubes in September 2019. The work is my entry for the Aesthetica Art Prize.
