covid-19 at the Mubarakiya Market

Since the appearance of the Corona Virus in Kuwait in mid-February, the government has taken strict measures to prevent gatherings. One of these measures is the closure of markets. One of the most important markets is the Mubarakiya Market, where it is considered the first market in Kuwait and is the preferred destination for many Kuwaitis, especially holidays. Where it is rare that the market is free of Its pioneers . When the government measures to close the market came, this was a rare occasion to see all stores closed, as this has not happened since the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990. It was my project to document the Mubarakiya market during this period, as I wanted to show the market empty air and the workers were standing in the middle of closed shops .
