The classical still life is constantly an inspiration for artists.The significance of what is happening in old still lifes is not apparent to us today. These new still lifes by Jeanette Land Schou create contemporary stories.The figures are created from cartoons or are children’s toys. They are combined withs vases and plants to form simple scenarios. All of the figures have been found in flea markets and these photographs gives them a scecond life.
