Being a Street Photogrpaher

All these images were shot on film years ago. I had no idea if I "got the shot" or not till days or even months later. I prayed a lot back then. Traveling the world while schlepping 100 rolls of film and worrying about the heat, cold or X-rays in the airport. To be honest I don't miss the expense of buying and developing film -- but I do miss the intense "craft" of photography. Nothing was "thrown away" or a do over. You had to make every shot count and the entire process was drawn out over time. You had to train your eye and that was the more important than the brand of camera you we're using. I feel that thanks to digital many things have changed, some for the better -- but not all. I miss the excitement of the unknown that film photography offered and that the camera seemed an extension of the photographer -- not the other way around.
