Until March 2020 I travelled a lot, until the Corona Virus took over. I try to engage with the locations and the people I meet in order to portray what the places really mean, not just as seen by somebody passing though. It becomes important to understand the history, culture and language, making experiences even more rewarding. Respect is crucial and tourists unfortunately often give travelling photographers a bad name.
