Our lives are moving faster than ever, with our phones feeding us more information than we’re capable of processing. We’re running through lives with our heads pointing down, full speed ahead. Pike & Pine is my effort to slow down and pay attention to the multitudes of lives passing every which way, trying to capture the little moments that we’re otherwise too busy to notice. Working with manual film cameras and processing my own black and white film forces to me slow even further and be even more deliberate with my photographs. Pike & Pine is my story of daily life in Seattle, Washington, 36 exposures at a time.
