This photo was taken in Times Square, New York City on a cold, winter afternoon in January 2020. I was about to head home and caught eye of the blue, back wall of a coffee truck. I decided to linger for a while to see what might evolve. I noticed nearby a few costumed characters which are a constant in Times Square trying to make a few bucks being photographed with tourists. One of the characters was wearing a red hat standing in front of the blue wall and the skyline of the city, giving a sense of mystery by staying anonymous.
When I returned to the same location a few days later, the wall was no longer empty and blue, but now covered with advertising for the truck. Thus, nothing ever stays the same and every photo taken becomes part of a history we write.
This photo is part of my ongoing series called "Duologues"
(please see "Duologues" in my Lensculture projects).
