Eyes Wide Shut-Part One

*Including Graphic Images* This is a series of photos taken at a slaughterhouse in Tehran where Dhabihah is practiced. Dhabihah is the prescribed method of ritual slaughter of all lawful halal animals in Islam. A precise and yet cruel act (considered similar to Judaism's "shechita"), which must be done by a sane (mentally competent) adult Muslim. The series of photos, collectively, include 3 distinctive sets of images categorized thematically.
