Ancient Roman Art Influence today

How did ancient Roman art influence me? The Romans sculpted statues of gods, heroes, and real people in their culture (their celebrities). The Romans sculpted statues honoring mortals, heroes, and gods. The legacy of Ancient Rome is still felt today in all areas of western culture _  government, law, language, architecture, engineering, and religion as well as in all of the arts.
Homosexuality has existed throughout history and for centuries artists have hidden this truth in their work, in essence, hiding it from the public eye. In these images, I am working with classical sculptures; removing them from the context of their past and revisualizing history. In rebuilding these narratives in a subjective and highly personal way I honor and make visible the LBGTQI+ community.
