Notting Hill Carnival Series
For the past 6 decades, the Notting Hill Carnival, held in London during the last bank holiday of August every year since 1959, is the most significant event for the Black British culture and one of the biggest street festivals in the world.
Music, dance and Caribbean food inundate the streets of Notting Hill in West London to bring the Caribbean party spirit to the streets of London.
This is a series I made last year, using an old manual film camera loaded with KodaK TMax film 400 ISO. I deliberately left borders and 'imperfections' from the chemical process as this add character to each photo.
