It’s all too easy to focus on the destination when we travel, but it’s the journey that fascinates me.
In this submission I intend to present images that capture the people of my many travels who either knowingly or unknowingly temporarily shared my journey - be it briefly in passing, or hours shared in a train carriage - each undertaking their own journey, as I undertook mine.
No matter where we are in the world, we are all on a journey - be it for purpose, necessity, leisure or even our journey that is life. As a travel photographer the pursuit of my own journey is the very reason I travel. Which ever country I venture to, someone will be on a journey of their own, and the moment that our journeys cross provides the ultimate sense of travel and a snapshot of our shared humanity on planet earth.
