Creatures of The Ancient Forest

Recently I went hiking through the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, which is located in the gorgeous White Mountains in Inyo County, California. You can find this forest at 3.400meters (11,000feet) above sea level. It is home to the oldest trees in the world, some of them older than 4.000 years. The Bristlecone Pine Trees grow with fantastic shapes, their branches reach out in every direction twisting towards the sky and even crawling on the ground. To me they seemed like breathing, living, fantastic old creatures staring back at us majestically while we hiked through their home. Being surrounded by these awe-inspiring shapes felt like being in the middle of an ancient fable. Or maybe it was the lack of oxygen at that altitude! I wanted to share that wonderful experience with me, thankfully I had my FujifilmXT20 camera with me.
