This collection of images is an ode to youth.
An ode to a generation of young men who spent their days exploring the city, exploring their own mental and physical boundaries.
With these images I tried to capture the foundation blocks that come into play in the world of parkour, an urban counter culture of like-minded people who couldn't be more different from one another.
Parkour offers a personal path to follow, it helps a person grow and see the world differently.
It's a path I've taken myself and that I'll never leave.
My fear is that parkour will become a regulated sport, with rules, competitions and big sponsor deals. There will be dedicated places where one is allowed to jump, and certain jumps won't be allowed at all.
This will still be called parkour, but it will be something different.
Let them move and dirty the walls, for what they gain is the mindset to overcome everything they want.
