This is a portrait series that is on going, but its image was born out of limited resources. I could never afford a studio, or live in a big enough space to photograph from. I started to seek out landscape within the city as my backdrop, but nothing that would take away from focusing on the subject. I discovered the ballparks, these huge concert walls, with layers and layers of paint. This was my free studio and felt like a calm space away from the chaotic streets of the city. I photograph my friends, my New York family, I have used photography to capture a moment in time, and the people I admire up close and from afar.
