Town of fences

Lena Inosemzew’s photo series "Town of fences" is dedicated to her hometown, Semipalatinsk. This was once the only secret city where the Soviet government conducted its atom bomb tests. Today, Semipalatinsk is part of the now independent country of Kazakhstan and has become a dusty province where countless fences dominate the landscape.
