When the World Held Its Breath

In the hours and days following the 2020 US Presidential Election, we were connected once again through a deep and intense emotion with the common thread of breath: a deadly virus riding on the breath of our friends and family, black Americans who cannot breathe under the force of systemic oppression, and waiting as each vote was counted, to see if we could, finally, after four years, exhale.
