The scientific community estimates that out of the roughly eight million animal species that currently live on our planet, three could extinguish by the end of the 21st century, as a result of several factors like losing their natural habitat or climate change.
What would occur if the current rate of extinction persists? What would occur if fauna completely disappears from our planet?
A dystopia. A catastrophic plot.
What if the only possible way to show future generations the sheer beauty of wild life would be through little plastic figures?
Ironic – that precisely plastic is the material used to represent fauna. A non-renewable resource as a means to promote an environmentally friendly conscience. Waste that will endure unchanged in nature as life fades away from it.
In these dreamlike scenes, plastic figures representing different animals are merged into some of the real landscapes which they now inhabit. A series of imaginary tales that will hopefully never be written.
