Usually searching for all the beauty in the natural world, this series is a change for me as I document the fluidity of beauty in relation to my daughters limb difference. Born without her left foot, this is a deeply personal series for us both and my hope is to not only create acceptance and love for us both but to also allow those not familiar with limb difference to see, accept and love it too. The images are shot mostly in water, as to represent that fluidity of beauty, it is not one thing, it is many things and always changing. The water also slightly obscures or distracts from the limb difference asking the viewer to look closer, study, be curious. Often when people view a limb difference for the first time they feel they have to look away or feel uncomfortable to really take it all in. This series asks that they take their time and see the beauty.
