2002 was the year I started taking pictures for other people. Years back I would take photos for class projects or for my personal collection. I would try to sell some of my photos at art shows. It was in 2002 that I took photos for events and to help share others’ stories.
During grade school and evolving more in middle and high school, I shot film. I had a 110 mail in UPC cereal box camera and would document all our vacations. In high school I shot on my dad’s old RICOH 35mm SLR that took Pentax K mount lenses. I fell in love with the darkroom. Around the year 2000 I started to shoot digital. I had a few FujiFilm digital cameras that took SmartMedia cards. One took a dip in the lake with me and dried out. The other was a graduation present that I still have today. When I first started promoting myself I remember I would market that I shot color with digital and black and white on film.
