An Italian Covid19 hospital that had to change its activity and organization, quickly transferring the so-called "normal" patients to other locations. The strict health and organisational protocols, dictated by the severe aggressiveness of the virus, put doctors and nurses under considerable stress, they were made to work under the constant pressure and danger of becoming infected. Their daily life has consisted of having to continually disinfect, follow precise and meticulous dressing procedures, and having to carefully separate clean and contaminated areas but, above all, they have been in constant danger of becoming unwitting vehicles of contagion for their own families. They have had to work alongside the patients who have been positive to the virus, patients living totally isolated from the rest of the world, in an abysmal solitude devoid of the consoling presence of their loved ones who were not allowed into hospital. Opposite lives, apparently different, but substantially shared and connected: doctors and nurses with an unknown face have become, in this surreal and dramatically concrete situation, silent angels and attentive guardians of defenceless men and women, the only human contact for these people who have had to leave everything outside.
All, together, fighting something that they are not able to see.
