QUEST

QUEST (2015 - Ongoing) - a series of sentimental portraits in peaceful scenarios lending room to the discipline of one’s emotions, away from the daily anxiety that the news and media spark, whether from content promoting consumption or unjust, negative portrayals of BIPOC. Conversely, Madeleine’s work celebrates the beauty of Black people and portrays emotions that promote hope and peace. With a humble approach, she invites the viewer to empathize with the mood in the photograph, and to recognize that one is not alone.
