"Aanu i" This photo was part of a fun photo series I did last fall that combined high fashion with everyday errands starring model Aanu Uariyo, as she makes her way through her checklist of things to do in Newark, NJ; using black-owned businesses as a backdrop. This photo was shot inside Off The Hanger boutique store, downtown Newark. "The Girl in the Pearl Durag" I was gifted a pack of expired Kodak Portra 800 from 1992 ( fun fact: the same year I was born). This photo represents a milestone in my personal growth as a photographer, as I made the transition from hobbyist to fine art photographer. "Sunday Baptism i" & "Zunyda i" These photos were taken towards the end of last summer, featuring my cousin Gina and my friend Zunyda, respectively. "Yo Grito Por Helado" I took this photograph while traveling throughout Cuba. After spending some time in Havana, my husband and I traveled south to the colorful city of Trinidad, Cuba where the children played barefoot on the cobblestone streets.
