During this unknown time where all we seek are answers and facts, we tend to turn toward the familiar for sanity: People bake bread, read, paint - anything to keep the mind from growing restless.
My previous projects have been geared toward isolation - remote islands - and in this case, one is forced to take control of being sequestered on their own archipelago. I’ve found my footing (or lack - of) in my 10’ x 10’ kitchen.

Primarily, I use a 6 x7 Pentax to gain access to faces, places, and tastes. However, I don’t have access to my lab right now. Thus, I have turned to my iPhone, self timer (3 -10 seconds); and usually a heavy book, a chair, and a can of olive oil to prop up my ‘digital’ camera.
My studio is ALWAYS open and I can work at any time of the day and need permission from no one. ---
