Recognizing the threat many workers face everyday during this pandemic, I was inspired to create #SeeOurFRONTLINERS, a documentary portrait project highlighting our frontline and essential workers. Many of us take for granted the postal worker who places birthday cards in our mailboxes, the nurse who checks our blood pressure, the delivery person dropping off our Friday night takeout, or the person cleaning the hospital beds. These individuals often fly below the radar and are the lifeblood and key to keeping our communities thriving. Their services have never been so apparent and crucial. #SeeOurFRONTLINERS shares dynamic, authentic portraits of these rising heroes in the time of COVID-19. Our perceptions and understanding of their work is shifting. The photographs along with their own words honor what they do and their valuable impact on our everyday lives.
