Sweat & Metal

With Sweat & Metal I intend to show the strength of rock and metal music in its live performance. Despite of living in the underground in Spain, rock and heavy metal and all the genres that come from it are very healthy. Although is quite difficult programming concerts of unknown bands without losing money, there is always some crazy guy willing to bring into our city some strange group from far away to make us enjoy a great night plenty of riffs, drum kicks and howlings. The whole serie has been taken in small or medium clubs with poor light conditions and without a proper place to take pictures for photographers. All pictures were shot with manual lenses (focus and diaphragm) which means it's a bit more difficult to take the good angle due to all the crazy people dancing, jumping and pushing. I think that all these factors and my compromise on showing the soul of the musicians from my point of view (as much closer as I could) make my photographs a bit punchy.
