Love, joy, and the passion to protect our family are deeply rooted human traits, no matter where you are from. I've had the privilege to experience this as I've worked in many communities around the world, including a decade of documenting my own grandmother at her home in Atlanta, Georgia. My camera is a tool for connection, inviting those in my lens to come closer, see themselves in a new way, and preserve memories of lives and stories for years to come.
