Now the children of old age with colorful textiles and hand sewn are the identity of Iran; the identity which was forgetting in the papers of memories but now it’s rising one more time.
Baloch women of Tajmir and Naz-dasht villages in south Khorasan Province sew the Dotouk dolls to show it as a native culture of their province and a medium for transferring their cultures to the future.
In last years the carbon sequestration international project working with UNDP is overhauling the rural jobs and since 5 years ago the carbon sequestration in south Khorasan province is trying to revive the Dotouk dolls.
The Dotouk makers have an story for each Dotouk that write it on a piece of textile and sew it on Dotouk. These Stories are come from their imagination and desires.I have written the story of each doll in the caption for you.
